Ann Adams charged William Davis at Ballarat on 1 February 1854 with violently assaulting her on 6 January. He was fined ₤5 or in default given one months imprisonment. It is not known for certain but it is possible that this Ann Adams was the wife of William Adams. If so, her possible identity is Ann Cosgrove who married William Adams in the Church of England church, Belfast (now Port Fairy) Australia in 1847.
