Margaret was found drunk according to the Mount Alexander Mail of 19 March 1867. She was ‘an inveterate tippler’. For ‘the fiftieth time, brought up charged with being drunk and disorderly, but having been confined since Saturday evening was only fined 10s, in default one week’s imprisonment’.
