Amelia (Martin) married Thomas Bath at Geelong in 1855. It is possible that she was in Ballarat in 1854 as other members of the Bath family were known to be in the district. They had the following children: unnamed female b. 1857 Inverleigh; Amelia b. 1859 Smythes Creek; Maria b. 1864 Scarsdale; Emily b. 1866 Scarsdale; Esther b. 1869 Scarsdale; John b. 1871 Scarsdale; Hannah b. 1873 Scarsdale; William Charles b. 1875 Scarsdale; Mary Ellen b. 1878 Scarsdale; and Violet b. 1880 at Chute.
